No Excuses University Network of Schools Campaign to Support Camp Kesem
Camp Kesem supports children through and beyond a parent's cancer. Led by passionate student leaders across the country, Camp Kesem provides free week-long summer camps and camper reunions throughout the school year.
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. For children whose parents have this horrible disease, the joys of childhood are replaced with a new reality of cancer vocabulary, treatments and fears.
Camp Kesem delivers what these kids need most – support, understanding, and empathy, as they deal with a reality no child should face.
There are still over 5 million children affected by a parent’s cancer that are not yet supported by Camp Kesem’s free resources. And there are over 30 colleges on the waiting list, ready to start a chapter in their community. Camp Kesem has a proven, scalable model. With an investment of just $40,000 in seed funding, each chapter is completely self-sustaining after four years.
Through your help, we can Grow Camp Kesem to reach millions of children affected by a parent's cancer so that no child has to face it alone.
