Friends of Camp Kesem at West Virginia University 2017
Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.
Camp Kesem at WVU is planning for it's 2nd year of camp! Last year we supported 22 campers who've been touched by a parent's cancer. This year we hope to provide support to 40 campers in and around the West Virginia area. This camping experience has a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills.
In order to provide a free camp to families facing the financial burden of cancer treatment, we rely on donations from our incredible donors, and we thank you for giving these kids the opportunity to have this community and to be kids, even if just for a week during the summer.
Gifts made to Camp Kesem chapters will be designated to the chapter indicated. Upon discretion and consent of chapter leadership, national management, and Camp Kesem Board of Directors, these gifts may be redirected towards expansion of Camp Kesem to new communities.
