Thank you for your support of Kesem's national growth and our alumni engagement efforts! Please read below for more information on our peer-based support for children touched by a parent's cancer.
Camp Kesem supports children through and beyond a parent's cancer. Led by passionate student leaders across the country, Camp Kesem provides free week-long summer camps and camper reunions throughout the school year.
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. For children whose parents have this horrible disease, the joys of childhood are replaced with a new reality of cancer vocabulary, treatments and fears.
Camp Kesem delivers what these kids need most – support, understanding, and empathy, as they deal with a reality no child should face.
Each of our 86 university chapters nationwide
are led by the volunteer efforts of thousands of college students across the country.
There are still over 5 million children
affected by a parent’s cancer that are not yet supported by Camp Kesem’s free resources. And there are over 30 colleges on our waiting list
, ready to start a chapter in their community. We have a proven, scalable model. With an investment of just $40,000 in seed funding, each chapter is completely self-sustaining after four years.
Through your help, we can Grow Camp Kesem to reach millions of children affected by a parent's cancer so that no child has to face it alone. Each donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to embracing these children in our Camp Kesem family. You can sponsor a child’s day at camp for $100, a week at camp for $500, or full year-round services for a child for $1,000 – so that no child is denied the “magic” of Camp Kesem.
